Lovely Lampshades

Yes, I often re-make damaged lampshades. I can usually re-use the wire frame. Then, by creating a new template, I can make a brand new lampshade in a fabric of your choice.I have many examples of previously restored shades, so please ask me for some photos.

Fabrics that are stiff or thick are usually not suitable for lampshades.

It really depends on the style of shade though. For example, a hard-backed 'drum ' lampshade can be made from a velvet, but this wouldn't be suitable for a hand-pleated shade, requiring a much finer cotton or silk.

Fabrics need to be discussed before we embark on any lampshade project, to ensure they are suitable and will create the finished look you aspire to.

Typically, our custom lampshades are ready within 2–4 weeks, depending on the design.

I would consider shipping lampshades, but I would need to weigh up the risks of them being damaged in transit (which they sometimes are).

The smaller the shade, the easier to post!

Larger shades can be couriered or hand-delivered.

Fees would be discussed with you before embarking on the project.
